Instructions for Vocab Drilling Vocab
Drills
| 1. |
To review vocabulary for a specific part of speech (Verb,
Noun, Adjective, etc.), select that part of speech from the
drop-down menu. Otherwise, select All. |
| 2. |
To review vocab within a specific range of occurrences in the NT,
enter that range (for example, from 47
to 49). To select all frequencies,
enter the range from 1 to 9999.
NOTE: Inasmuch as the vocabulary
database is over 1150 words, it is recommended that you limit
either the part of speech or the frequency of occurrence.
|
| 3. |
To display your selected vocabulary words in the same order every
time, select Alpha
Order. To vary the display
sequence, select Random. |
| 4. |
If you check the Score box, you will
be able to record correct and incorrect responses and the system will
calculate your final score. Leaving it unchecked will allow you to
determine, but not record, your correct or incorrect answers. |
| 5. |
Click on the Drill Words button
to find and display your words from the vocabulary database.
NOTE: There will be a brief delay during
the search. The length of the delay will depend on how many vocabulary
words are selected by your parameters.
|
| 6. |
The first window to appear will be the Vocab
Drill window displaying the list of selected words. For convenience,
resize and move the window to fit the shaded area on the upper right
side of the page. As you work your way through the words, you can
verify your answers by clicking on the Answer button. This will activate
the Vocab Drill Answer window.
Also for your convenience, resize and move this window to fit the
shaded area on the lower right side of the page. |
| 7. |
If you have chosen to score yourself on vocabulary, you must check
the Right or Wrong
box for each word in the list. Your final score and percentage will
be calculated when you click the Score button upon completion of the
list. |
