Personal Pronoun:

A pronoun that refers most typically to a person, but can in the third person refer to a thing. This pronoun is inflected in such a way as to indicate three possible persons: the one speaking (first person: “I/we”), the one spoken to (second person: “you”), and the one spoken about (third person: “he, she, it, they”).

As a pronoun, these forms stand alone and have the same functions as nouns. However, the third person pronoun can also function as an adjective (intensive adjective, identical adjective).
