Instructions for Function Drilling   Function Drills

1. To practice identifying the grammatical function associated with particular grammatical structures (for example, "Article + Adjective" or "Verb of Speaking + Infinitive"), select the Review Structures/Assoc Function button. To practice recognizing the grammatical functions in actual Greek phrases, select the Practice Recognition of Greek Examples button.
2.

To review stuctures/examples for a specific category (Adjective, Participle, Subjunctive, etc.), select that category from the drop-down menu. Otherwise, select All.

3. To display your selected structures/examples in the same order every time, select Alpha Order. To vary the display sequence, select Random.
4. There is no scoring option for this drill.
5.

Click on the Drill Functions button to find and display your selections from the functions database.

NOTE: There may be a brief delay during the search. The length of the delay will depend on how many functions are selected by your parameters.

6.

The first window to appear will be the Structures/Examples window displaying the list of selected words. For convenience, resize and move the window to fit the shaded area on the upper right side of the page. As you work your way through the structures/examples, you can verify your answers by clicking on the Answer button. This will activate the Structures/Examples Answer window. Also for your convenience, resize and move this window to fit the shaded area on the lower right side of the page.
